Jewellery Making Workshops

COVID-19 Update - Workshops

We wish you and yours all the best during these uncertain COVID-19 times.

Unfortunately our Jewellery Making Workshops are not being held at the moment as we can't social distance and keep you safe during the jewellery making process.  However, you can still purchase gift vouchers for your special occasion  and we will honour them when it is safe to do so again.

"Ruth's jewellery making workshops are relaxed and fun; you do not need any previous jewellery making experience to take part.  It's brilliant craic!"

Our Jewellery Making Workshops are fun and for people of all abilities. Near Holywood our Studio has recently been refurbished and is ready to host groups wanting to learn how to make jewellery.
Imagine having a few hours of relaxed fun in the NI Silver Jewellery workshop  creating your very own handmade piece of jewellery.  All you have to do is let Ruth know what you are wanting to make, she will confirm if it's achievable within the 3-4 hour workshop, and then viola, she will help you achieve whatever it is that you are wanting to make, whilst having a chat and a  laugh of course.

Whilst our jewellery making workshops usually last between 3 and 4 hours, depending on how long it takes to complete your handmade jewellery masterpiece, there’s always time for tea, coffee and biscuits (and lunch if you would like to bring your own, as we are not qualified to cook for you).  We help you relax whilst you overlook Belfast Lough and watch the ferries and aeroplanes sail past - truly relaxing and inspiring.

If you would like to learn about the process of jewellery making and have your own personalised workshop, please email ruth@nisilver or steve@nisilver with your preferred dates, what you would like to make and the number of people attending.  We can normally cater for between 1 and 4 people, but more can be accommodated more if you want discuss this with Ruth.  If you have a larger group we also offer studio tours where Ruth will talk you through the process however, you will not leave with a personally made piece of jewellery, unless you buy something from our gift shop.  However, it will give you an insight into the work of jewellery making and stages of work that go into each piece of work.
