Our Dark Hedges 3D Cufflinks capture one of Northern Ireland’s most recognisable landscapes in sterling silver. The etched background creates the impression of looking along the mysterious avenue of beech trees, making these a distinctive piece of home for visitors, ex pats and anyone with a connection to Northern Ireland.

There are few places in Northern Ireland quite as recognisable as the Dark Hedges. The twisting branches of the beech trees create an avenue that feels almost otherworldly, and have made this corner of County Antrim one of our best known landmarks.

Our 3D Dark Hedges Cufflinks capture that atmosphere in sterling silver. Each cufflink weighs approximately 7 grams and is hallmarked by the London Assay Office to confirm the quality of the silver used.

Look closely and you will see the etched background creating the impression of looking down the avenue, beneath the canopy of the trees. Each cufflink is engraved with “The Dark Hedges”, although alternative engraving can be arranged for an additional charge.

Measuring approximately 2cm wide by 2cm high and 2.5cm long, they make a distinctive gift for visitors, birthdays and weddings, or a little piece of home for those living away from Northern Ireland.

They also make thoughtful corporate gifts, particularly alongside our Titanic jewellery collection, with matching cufflinks, necklaces and earrings available.

Each piece is presented in one of our biodegradable boxes with a matching gift bag, ready to give or send directly to the recipient. We can post worldwide, making these easy to send wherever home may be.

The Dark Hedges Cufflinks are part of our Mi NI Collection, our growing collection of jewellery inspired by places, stories and landmarks from each of the six counties of Northern Ireland.

Matching Dark Hedges necklaces, lapel pins, button holes and rings are also available.

The story behind these pieces began with a commission from the Dark Hedges Preservation Trust. We have included further information below about the jewellery, the Dark Hedges and the important work of the Trust.

The Dark Hedges is now also famous for being a filming location for the Games of Thrones TV show when they were the Kings Road.

  • The whole experience was amazing from start to finish. Ruth was so friendly and accommodating making us feel as if we were her lifelong friends. We loved making our rings (with lots of Ruth’s help of course) and we felt so proud of ourselves. Ruth and Steve welcomed us into their beautiful home and garden and provided us with a delicious array of food and drinks in their outdoor igloo. Overall it was a relaxing, creative and bonding experience which we would highly recommend.

  • If you're looking for that unique treat or experience, then a jewellery making workshop with Ruth at NI Silver is a must! I had such a fun time not only watching Ruth demonstrate her skill, but then making my own bespoke silver ring and of course enjoying Steve's great hospitality. What a perfect day!  Thank you.

    Anne F,

  • My husband and I were gifted a workshop experience and we weren't too sure what to expect, but Ruth at NI Silver made the morning an absolute pleasure. She was knowledgeable and funny, chatting away whilst showing us the steps we needed to do, and then stepping back to let us have a good go! We all had a great time and I would 100% recommend the workshop experience to anyone - I'll definitely be back some time for another go!
